Bit of drama. Before the flight, and during the flight. We stayed on the ‘wrong side’ of Big Island. So had to leave at 4 am in the morning to drive across the island (yes, it’s a big island) to make it to Helo airport. There it was raining, but luckily we got to fly. And the volcano from the air is just spectacular. Highly recommended. Once we got back, the helicopter got grounded. And all flights for the day cancelled.
